Projects

Orlando VA Healthcare System (OVAHCS) Building Automation Systems Contract

$10.2 Million (18 months)

VES is designing and constructing all the elements to completely replace the existing building automation system (BAS) infrastructure at the Lake Nona campus. This scope includes replacing all existing LONet controllers and devices with new BACnet protocol controllers and devices and replacing all existing Local Operating Network (LON) communication wiring. Wiring will be upgraded from 2-wire to 3-wire throughout the Lake Nona campus. VES is installing all new BACnet controllers programming them with the same sequence of operations as the existing LONet controllers and recommissioned to verify proper operation.

Minot AFB Fiber Installation IDIQ

$5,000,000 (5 Years)

VES will engineer, furnish, install and test (EFI&T) armored (shielded) singlemode fiber (SM) optic cable (FOC) to upgrade and enhance the FOC connectivity throughout Minot AFB, ND. We are installing OS2 SM and OM1 and OM3 multimode (MM) fiber optic cable (FOC) upgrading the outside plant infrastructure throughout the base.

Orlando VA Healthcare System (OVAHCS) Data and Voice Cabling IDIQ

$1M (4 years)

VES is installing data and voice cabling for the Orlando VA Healthcare System (OVAHCS) and its associated Outpatient Clinics and offices. We are installing OS2 singlemode (SM) and OM1 and OM3 multimode (MM) fiber optic cable (FOC) and Unshielded Twisted Pair (UTP) CAT6 cable punched on RJ45 wall jacks and terminated on patch panels for data and voice transmissions. VES is providing scheduled service and emergency service calls with on-site technical assistance available within VA-specified response times. VES provides the estimate with materials needed and estimated time to complete the work, and price for each task order.

LED Lighting Systems Renovation at Fort AP Hill, VA

$330,000 (6 Months)

VES performed the upgrade of fluorescent fixtures and luminaires, and the replacement installation of approx. 10,336 LED lighting devices, and associated control assemblies in multiple facilities at Fort AP Hill, VA.

Work included:

  • Removal/Demolition of existing light fixtures
  • Removed all the existing fluorescent fixtures, ballasts, and luminaires, with special attention to disposal of the luminaires. We also removed the existing cabling, but kept the conduits in place for re-use where possible.
  • Installed junction boxes at consolidation points for the lighting fixtures power connections. Each fixture includes pre-configured MC cabling assemblies that we connected to the junction boxes, with through-connections to the lighting system control panel. We installed additional cabling to connect the sensor devices to the control panel.

Work included:
